Create a Hug You Can Wear

Many of my friends know that I create unique pieces of jewelry and some have a need for my unique services.

This was the case for a good friend who commissioned me to create a custom ring for his wife.

As a collector of stuffed bears, as well as I am, he had an idea of creating a ‘bear hug’ ring for his wife.

He and I sat together and viewed many images online that spoke to the ring he wanted to make. We chose this particular design (photographed below).

This ring was custom-made in 14K white gold, and was created from a 3-D model. The fur detail for the bear on the ring had to be done by hand so the ring looked like a real bear.

When the ring was cast in gold, it had the exact likeness that we were looking for! I love to work on challenging projects, and additionally to have a happy client. What unique piece of jewelry have you always wanted to create?
