3 pieces in 1: redesigned sapphire diamond ring

A fellow appraiser refers clients to me when the client needs additional help designing or redesigning their fine jewelry.

One such client had jewelry made for her years ago that she never really wore.  My challenge was to create one special bespoke ring that combined her taste and lifestyle with all the gold and gemstones she supplied to me.

I took the diamonds out of the earrings and made a very simple bezel set design for her.

I like to ask a lot of questions to make sure that what I design will be a treasured piece, something my client will want to wear often.

It just so happened that the style she liked was similar to a previous design I created, so we used it as a template for our current project, recreating it to accommodate her diamonds and sapphires.

I had the ring cast in silver in order to physically show it to her before we cast it in gold, to ensure her approval up front and give her the opportunity to make any last minute changes.

I want my clients to be 100% satisfied with the process and the finished pieces.

Her reaction was everything I was looking for.

TIP: Always make sure you work with someone who can and will walk you through the process and is willing to take as much time as is needed to get it right.

I look forward to working with you!
